HOIAN RIVER LIFE KAYAK EXPLORER

Embark on an adventurous journey as you explore the captivating waterways of Hoi An. Paddle through vibrant dockyards, lush mangroves, and flourishing vegetable gardens, while observing diverse birdlife and charming local homes along the way. Ideal for active travelers, this experience includes over four hours of kayaking (approximately 13 km) on the lively Thu Bon River.

ITINERARY

8:00 am Pick up from your address in Hoian
We begin our journey by kayaking towards the heart of the Old Town. Let the river guide you as you immerse yourself in nature, and after about an hour, you’ll enjoy a unique view of Hoian’s ancient architecture from the water’s perspective.
After a brief break at a riverside café, we’ll depart from the town center and make our way along Cam Kim Island, with the option to visit the villages of Kim Bong and Duy Vinh. You’ll have the chance to stroll through these charming villages, learn about their traditional crafts, and sample some delicious local cuisine.
Around noon, we’ll paddle back through a serene mangrove forest filled with Nipa palms. Our trip concludes around 1:00 PM at our kayak station, where you can enjoy some refreshments to end the trip
13:00 pm Transfer back to your hotel by taxi. End of service

DO I NEED TO BOOK

WHEN DO YOU OPEN

• We open from 7:30am to 4:00pm, everyday of the year except for Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

• Light outdoor clothes that dry easily in case you get wet. DO EXPECT TO GET WET.

• Sun protection: sun cream and a brimmed-hat, remember we are in the tropics.

• Sun glasses, even on a cloudy day they can come handy.

• Open-toes sandals/shoes or flip-flops.

• Water proof cases and/or ziplock bags to store your cell phone.

• A sense of adventure and a sense of humor are essential!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT

• Paddle Boards have a weight capacity of 225 pounds

• Single kayaks have a weight capacity of 330 pounds

• Double kayaks have a weight capacity of 550 pounds

You should be able of swim and get yourself back up on the board if you fall into the water.and

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A LIFE JACKET (PFD)

Keep in mind that this is a water sport, most likely you will get wet and you might even fall into the water so you need to be able to swim and get yourself back into the vessel.

PFDs (Personal Flotation Devices or Life Jackets) must be worn at all times regardless of your age or swimming skills. You must wearing your PFD the moment you board the kayak or stand-up paddle board before, while and after you live the dock

Please understand that our rentals are not intended to be diving or swimming platforms and your safety while on the water is your own responsibility.

Please keep yourself safe at all times by following our recommendations, being mindful of the depth of water, the water and weather conditions, and other water crafts surrounding your vessel.
