If you’re seeking a unique way to experience Hoian beyond just strolling through the Old Town, this trip is definitely worth considering. Cycle your way to Cam Kim Island where you’ll find breathtaking countryside that captivates with its endless rice paddies, traditional conical hats, and grazing water buffalo. Venture even further to witness local artisans practicing ancient crafts and trades, skills passed down through generations. Enjoy an immersive exploration of local life as you bike and kayak along the river at your own pace.

ITINERARY

8:30 am Pick up from your address in Hoian
We’ll embark on a journey to Cam Kim Island, where you will cycle as a scenic route unfolds, with lush rice fields, local gardens and markets. Feel free to pause whenever you like to capture photos or engage with locals, our guide will be your translator. During this segment of the trip, we will visit a local family to learn about their daily life and traditional crafting techniques.
We’ll then gear up for our water adventure and kayak toward the Cam Thanh coco palm forest. This area features a unique mangrove ecosystem, offering spectacular scenery. Our paddle concludes at the kayak station in Cam Thanh.
Our very active morning concludes with a delicious lunch at a family-run riverside eatery.
13:00 pm Transfer back to your hotel by taxi. End of service

• We open from 7:30am to 4:30pm, everyday of the year except for Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

• Light outdoor clothes that dry easily in case you get wet. DO EXPECT TO GET WET.

• Sun protection: sun cream and a brimmed-hat, remember we are in the tropics.

• Sun glasses, even on a cloudy day they can come handy.

• Open-toes sandals/shoes or flip-flops.

• Water proof cases and/or ziplock bags to store your cell phone.

• A sense of adventure and a sense of humor are essential!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT

Paddle Boards have a weight capacity of 225 pounds

Single kayaks have a weight capacity of 330 pounds

Double kayaks have a weight capacity of 550 pounds

You should be able of swim and get yourself back up on the board if you fall into the water.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A LIFE JACKET (PFD)

Keep in mind that this is a water sport, most likely you will get wet and you might even fall into the water so you need to be able to swim and get yourself back into the vessel.

PFDs (Personal Flotation Devices or Life Jackets) must be worn at all times regardless of your age or swimming skills. You must wearing your PFD the moment you board the kayak or stand-up paddle board before, while and after you live the dock

Please understand that our rentals are not intended to be diving or swimming platforms and your safety while on the water is your own responsibility.

Please keep yourself safe at all times by following our recommendations, being mindful of the depth of water, the water and weather conditions, and other water crafts surrounding your vessel.
